The Teachers arrange for Industrial visits for students after 2nd year. I personally applied for Aurobindo Pharma, Hyderabad and completed a month-long training in the industry. The key companies that take up students range from core to non-departmental like Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, Mylan, Nestle amongst the top ones. The alumni network is one of the best in the field of pharma since all the alumni are at eminent positions as CEO or VP's or DI's. The highest salary for the batch 2014 was 13 l..p.a. in a consultancy company.
There are 2 girls hostel and 13 boys hostel. Hostel feel is included with institute fees mess fees is 15000 per semester. There are few or no pgs available. The food quality is good and the campus is lush green wifi enabled.
The eligibility criteria for admission in Bachelor in Pharmacy is a good score is 12th boards as well as the entrance examinations for both Maths as well as Biology background students. For Maths background, a decent score in Jee Mains along with your 12th boards percentage, both of these are given 50% weightage. For Biology background, 50%weightage lies on your NEET marks and 50% on your 12th percentage. Based on the number of applicants, a merit list is prepared where the typical cutoff for general category is 60%.
Classes run from 8-5 with a lunch gap of 2-3 hours depending on everyday schedule. You have labs and classes. Midsemester exams are evaluated out of 25 and the end semester out of 60,the remaining 15 marks are evaluated on the basis of the quiz the teacher takes in the class. All the classrooms are smart with projector and the teacher use modern methods of teaching. College life is fun with numerous clubs and societies based in your interests. Annual fests like Bitotsav, Pantheon, Rostra are much fun.
The per year fees is high since it is a private college, but it is worth it for a college with a div erse group of courses and healthy environment to grow in.Anyone who scores 8 cgpa and above are entitled to GK BIRLA scholarship.Almost anyone with a valid income certificate is granted a scholarship if they score a decent cgpa. Their a SBI in the campus itself which easily provide loans to students and laptop money as well.
There is photographic society, literary society, fine arts society, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, student almuni relations coordinator etc.Life is pretty good.

Placements & Internships : I had done one industrial training at Kolkata in Pastuers Ltd in my 2 nd year . I had even worked as a research analyst in a startup but it was unpaid . Pharmaceutical companies like torrent, FTF, Macloeds, ACG and other companies visits the institute for hiring students. The starting salary is Rs 1,50,000 lakhs to Rs 2,00,000 but there is an increment every year according to one's ability and work. About 60-70% students were placed in the last two years. BIT Mesra's alumni network is very strong and alumni are very helpful and they are in regular touch with the department helping freshers and mentoring them.
