Our course fee is for below 1 lakh income 42,800(including mess and hostel), 1-5 lakh it is around 70k, and for above 5 lakh, it is around 125k. It gets so many scholarships eg: nsp, Ffe,e.t.c. Nearly 55% will get the it depends on you, you will get the loan from your hometown bank.

I have done an internship with big data. There are so many companies offers jobs which includes even foreign companies. It gives avg salary of 6-7lakhs per annum. Here 100% placement for the computer science has a very good network.

There 4 good hostels. No hostel fee for below 1 lakh income. Even the pgs also good there are no outside rooms for this.avg food. Rs.30 per meal. Very good WiFi. Good classrooms and infrastructure.

We have to pass jee mains( national level exam) than during counselling we have to select the nit Srinagar. If your rank is eligible for this college then you will be selected. For CSE, it is 20k rank for non-local.

You can get into NIT Srinagar by taking up the prestigious JEE MAINS examination for btech and GATE for mtech and PhD the minimum eligible criteria for college is to have at least 60% of marks in your +2 examination of any board for btech 50% of marks in your under graduation for getting admission into mtech and must qualify gate exam. The cutoff was around 30,000 for the Metallurgical & material science engineering branch for this year (2017)


Internships are good for the core branches as they go into some really good companies other computer related branches can go into some MNC\'s for their internship. college requires at least 1 month of internship from a company and placements are really good with MNC\'s like Samsung ibm tcs polaris musigma etc are present. for core branches there are like Ashok leyland maruti Suzuki vedanta and Indian Navy and many other companies will also come for recruiting students every year

  • Class Timing in our college is from 9 AM to 4 PM including break. In each semester, there are two Minor examinations and one Major examination. I\'m interested in studying I.C. Engines and will work on it as my project in the upcoming semester. In each semester, we get assignments for each subject.
  • The quality and method of teaching is good.
  • I\'m having a really good experience in the college.
  • Our course fee per year is Rs 42060 excluding mess fee.
  • Loans are not needed here.
  • I\'m doing practical training from J&K SRTC Department in I.C Engines. I\'m studying about their operations and parts.
  • There are 5 hostels for boys and 1 for girl. They are fine.
  • The quality of food is not good here. The mess fee costs Rs 15000 ...

  • NITs are known for their highly qualified faculty members. The faculty at National Institute of Technology is highly qualified. Almost every faculty is either P.H.D (almost everyone had done it from IITs and even some had done it from abroad) or pursuing P.H.D.
  • They all have vast teaching experience and deliver lectures in English(most of the times like 9/10) only but sometimes in order to make the difficult concept clear to students, they shift on to Hindi.
  • Currently, NIT SXR is providing eight (8) courses which are Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Material Science Engineering respectively.
  • The same number of PG courses is also provided by our college. There are two sessions, namely, autumn(odd Sem) and spring session (even sem) in our college.
