Placements and Internships

2.5

I am still in the first year but from some seniors, I got to know that due to the good placement cell in our college they were able to get internships at stipends like 5000-10000 Placements This college is backed with its own placement cell which is responsible for bringing different companies. This year around 23 different companies came in our college. Some the big corporates like Aditya Birla and yes bank was also its part. Around 200-300 final year, students were called for next level interview. Salary Average salary figures are 240000, Highest salary is 500000 and every year from the final year students 200-300 are selected for the next level interview. Alumni Yes, senior students are good helpful and nice. They are very helpful and they are always there to guide you.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

As is the case with most of the Delhi University colleges there is no hostel facility provided by the college but there are a large number of PG available near the colleges the PG's range from 4000 to 10,000 per month depending on the facilities. But all of the PG's the basic quality standards and ambience. The food in college is really really really good.It also is very cheap. There is mostly Chinese available etc.Chowmein, chilli potatoes, sandwiches, samosa, patties, burger, break pakoda, tea, coffee etc. Also close to the college are very good and tasty and cheap parantha shops that I love. The classrooms are best. They are neat and big. Also, there is wifi facility.Sometimes it is as up as 8mbps.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Satyawati college is an institution under Delhi University. It is in Ashok Vihar. The admission procedure I would say wasn,t really difficult.I took admission in the Evening college in English honours. I had less percentage to qualify for the morning one. I was required with 86.5% as per the 5th cutoff.I luckily had 88%.I was required to submit my original documents which included my 10th,12th mark sheet and Transfer certificate. Also, there was a small interview which was to verify if we really do qualify for the course. There weren't any entrance examination if you want to know but in the coming years, there might be one. The typical cutoffs for English honours in DU are starting from 95% in the first one, then slightly decreasing onto 90% and staying at that in colleges of North campus. The colleges in South campus can have cutoffs as low as 86%. (This is all for the general category. The Sc and OBC,s have low cutoffs)

Academics and Faculty

3.5

The daily routine is very comfortable. As I am of evening college I have 4 classes from 2:30 to 6:30.The internals is taken by teachers at the correct time. The same is for the assignments. One thing I would say is that many teachers might skip their classes. This is one negative point I would like to bring to your view. Some teachers are really excellent at explaining. Some bore you to the core. But the teaching is enough to get you passed. I don't know much about this topic Gender ratios, Student/Dorm Parties, workshops, cultural societies or Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status ( Be detailed in your response to meet quality standards)we don't have hostel facilities and mess was there it was not a mess it was very small canteen I liked the food as it was good and also very cheap.

Fees and Scholarships

5

The fees are really low.For one year the fees are online paid 7000. The scholarship is available for students belonging to the reserved categStudents. There are a lot of competition happening in our college one can get money by showcasing their talent. The average number of students who get scholarship are 20-30 I dont think that loan would be required as the fees is really low.But if people want there might be loan facility.I am not sure about it.

Clubs and Associations

4

There are not that many societies. There is an arts club, poetry club, drama society, football society, cricket club,Nss,Ncc etc. There are regular events and the festivals are celebrated almost every day and by this I mean it.Every day there is one or another event. The gate is always decorated. This might be sometimes irritating as this really affects the classes. The life in college is good. There is a big park where couples can spend time.Cricket, badminton, volleyball etc can be played.Life can be enjoyed.
