Bhargab Gogoi's Review on SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus- Chennai

I have not done any internships, but I have done two Implant training in two public sector company respectively. Top MNC companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Royal Enfield, Accenture comes to hire good performing students. Average salary comes around 3-4 lakhs. There is no fix highest salary. In my batch, it was 16 lakhs as highest salary. CSC department has got 100% placement results. But in departments like Mechanical, Civil, ECE, EEE has 60-70% placement results They have good alumni network.

There is two boys hostel. One AC and one Non-AC. The hostel facilities are good but the mess needs to be improved. The hostel fee comes around  INR1 lakh per year for non-ac andINR 1.3 lakhs per year for AC. The food was good but need to improve and the cost was included with the hostel fees. There are many PGs and rent apartments or private hostels available outside with both good and poor condition according to rent per month. The classroom qualities are good. Labs are OK. Dining halls ok. Overall the infrastructures of the college are good.

We need to have 75% in PCM to be eligible and continue with the admission procedures. I took SRMJEE for the entrance examination. The typical cutoff is 50% in each subject in my course.

Regular class timings were from 8 AM- 3.40PM. Projects and assignments were frequent and need to be complete during given time. Exams were conducted every month. The evaluation was good Teaching method were average. It depends on teachers to teachers. The overall experience in college is good. 

My course fees were INR 2 lakhs per year. There was no scholarship option available. Loans required to some students, but there is no problem in getting a loan. One can easily get a loan further om bank like City Union Bank, HDFC bank, etc.

There are many students so cities, clubs available like BAHA, SUPRA, NCC, NSS, etc. The main festival is STRING, Aarhus, MILAN The life in college is sometimes stressful. But one will definitely enjoy.
