Kritee Agrawala's Review on Doon Business School, [DBS] Dehradun

At the moment I haven't done any internships since I have just entered the 4th semester. The companies that majorly enter our campus are Colgate Palmolive, Just dial, Bank of Baroda to name a few. The average salary is approximately INR 2,15,000 annually and the highest yet has gone up to INR 10,00,000 annually.

There are 3 girls and 3 boys hostel in the campus and 1 boys hostel outside the campus. The hostel fees is around 1 lakh on an annual basis. A lot of PG and rent options are available near the campus. The food is average. Classrooms are big and airy and provide a comfortable environment though there is room for improvement.

The eligibility criteria for taking admission to DBS is a proof of passing class 12 exams (passing certificate and transfer certificate). I did not take any entrance exam but there certainly is an interview round which should be cleared by the prospective students. The cut off for BBA in DBS is 60 % in class 12 exams. If you have scored 90% and above in class 12 you are also entitled to scholarship of 50% in the first year of your 3 year BBA program.

The classes start from 8:40 am to 2:40 am, making a total of 5 classes and a one-hour lunch break. 2 Assignments are given in each subject for the semester on which we are marked upon. The quality of teaching is good and interactive. Teaching is done through ppts, notes and verbal discussion. Weekly tests are also held. The experience in regards to academics is quite smooth.

DBS has a comparatively lower fees structure as that of other institutions in the city. The tuition fees for BBA is around INR 75,000 per annum. 10-15 people get a scholarship here. Loans are not really required as seen in the past trend analysis.

We have a lot of clubs in college. Each year manifest is held which involves participation from different colleges as well.
