Placements and Internships
In our college, the role of the internship is introduced in 3rd year. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and other MNCs visit our campus every year. Although the intake is less but you get the opportunity to get yourself placed in a top tier company. Most of the companies are IT firms and therefore there is a huge demand for CSE branch.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Proper hostel facilities are available and the numbers are increasing every semester. 21000/semester is the fees for Non-AC hostel while 50000/semester for AC hostels. The option of PG is also available and the cost is more or less the same to that of college hostel. The food quality is better than any other college.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
I'm a second year student at KIIT , Bhubaneswar. An eligibility criteria of 60% in PCM is required in 12th class. KIIT conducts it's very own entrance exam know as Kiitee. I'm a student of Computer science and engineering branch which is the most soughted branch and therefore you need to have a rank under 3500 to get yourself a seat in CSE.
Academics and Faculty
Daily routine will keep you busy but will develop your personality as well. Class timings are generous and exams are not that tough. A lot and lot of assignment will be required in every semester. Quality and method of teaching is satisfactory. The college gives you ample opportunities to develop yourself and in the end it's you who has to take decisions for yourself.
Fees and Scholarships
A course fee of 3.6 lacs is what our college demands. If you perform well in entrance exam , you might get a scholarship. Scholarships are rare as but the opportunities are many. A total fees of near about 16lacs is to be paid for completion of BTECH , so generally , people opt for educational loans. Loans are easily available from the bank like Allahabad bank.
Clubs and Associations
Numerous student societies like e-cell , Data Science Group , TEDx group , Robotics Society , IT society , etc are here to keep your day busy. An annual college fest (KIITFEST) is organised in the month of February. College life is easy , you get to learn new things every day. Everyday is a new experience.
