Since I'm in second year I didn't get any. Normally those who are in 4th year only gets which are provided by the university.

There are many private hostels outside UPES as the campus hostel is small. The hostels vary from good to bad. Hostel fees are expensive around INR 10000 per month and vary. There are many PG's available at a low price ranging from INR 3000 to INR 6000 per month. Food in college is average.It is low priced for the convenience of students. Quality of the classroom is not good for the fees we pay. However, the new blocks coming up are quite good. The library is great and has many books. WiFi is also very fast up to 60mbps.

For getting admission in bachelor of design. There are ways : UPES DAT test (online) Board marks (minimum 60%) JEE scores And followed by interview and portfolio presentation. I took the UPES DAT test online and followed by the interview and portfolio presentation.

Our daily routine is fixed from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. But for engineering student it depends on their timetable and varies. The quality is overall fine . We mainly have to learn on our own. The faculty guides the students.

The fees vary from semester to semester. If you take an average it would be about INR 1.5 lakhs per semester. Those who score 90% above on boards get their fees refunded for the first semester and if you get 9.0 GPA and above some amount is reduced from the fees. I personally didn't take any loans. However getting loans is easy as UPES has tie-ups with SBI and ICICI Bank.

There are many societies and clubs for students. They are very active. They are mainly formed by the branch which students took. Main festivals are uurja and ignite which are cultural fests. there is also a annual athletic meet. Life in college is ok. Sometimes good and sometimes bad. Students are busy with their schedule.
