This is a very good college for petroleum. Mostly all students from all branches get internships in their 3rd year unless you have a very bags portfolio. You may get earlier if you have a good portfolio or you have good skills. Placement depends upon your capabilities, it depends upon how your academic performance has been for 4 years and also extra curricular activities as well as the works you have done. The average salary is around 4lpa and it can go as high as 30lpa. IT companies like Microsoft, Dell, SplashBi, Oracle, Infosys, TCS etc. hire students. Tech Mahindra, L&T, Shell, Reliance petrochemical s etc. are some other companies that recruit students from this college.

There are 2 hostels in college. 1 for boys and another for girls. The campus hostel doesn't have enough capacity to accommodate all the students so there are private hostels and Pg's around the campus. (The campus hostel is a bit costly. It's better to take a private hostel or Pg) The infrastructure of the college is excellent.

You need to give UPESEAT, based on the rank you get you will be called for counseling and will get admission in any specific branch. If you have scored 80% in 10th and 80% in PCM you also get a chance to get admission here. Around 20% seats are also reserved for those who get exceptional marks on their boards or Her Mains. It is a Petroleum engineering college, so for getting admission in Btech Petroleum, you need to have ranked below 1000 in UPESEAT.

Fees of this college is a bit higher than other college's. Uttarakhand domicile students get some scholarship. Also, the students scoring above 80% in 10th and 80% in PCM in the 12th standard will get a 25% fees waiver (35% in case of a girl).

There are many student chapters around 100+. Some of them are SPE, ACM, CSI, ASHRAE. There are always one or the other events going on in the college. Ignite, Annual sports meet, Urja are some of the fun events. Life in college is pretty good. There are lots of things to do on a campus like playing football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton. Almost every week there is some kind of event going on, so you will never get bored.
