Ash Singh's Review on Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology

There are many companies like TCS, Wipro, DHL, Samundra Institute of Marine, Capgemini etc., which comes to MIET for placement and many students get placed in these companies. Average salary package of these companies are INR 3 lacs and highest salary package is INR 5 lacs. 30 to 40% students got placed every year in many companies from college.

There are three hostels in college, two are for boys and one hostel is for girls. Hostel rooms are good and the supply of water and electricity is very good. The hostel fee is 65k per year. You can also get rooms outside the college by paying 4 to 5k per month. The quality of food of college mess is average and the cost of meal is included in hostel fee. The quality of classrooms, Labs, Libraries are very good. Free Wi-Fi is available for students for 24 hours. And there are many security guards for security purpose and girls can't go out from the college without written permission which is very good.

Students can take admission in MIET,Meerut by giving UPTU exam conducted by AKTU,Lucknow. If you get good rank in UPTU exam than you can get admission easily. I also gave UPTU exam for admission in MIET. You can also get direct admission on the basis of percentage you got in Intermediate. Your Intermediate percentage should be 85% in PCM to get admission in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

College starts at 9:00 AM and last lecture ends at 5:00 PM. There are seven lectures and every lecture is of 1 hour. 1 hour is for lunch. There are 3 internal exams in every semester. You got assignment of every unit of the book which is good for the students. The quality and method of teaching is very good and the faculty is highly qualified and experienced and they have good knowledge of their subjects. The overall experience is very good in college, it is the best college of Meerut.

Total fee per year is approx INR 1 lacs and you can get scholarship if you are the top student in your branch. You can also get scholarship by U.P. government, they gave scholarship every year to those students whose parents total income is less than INR 2 lacs per annum. Approx 40% students get scholarship every year by U.P. government. You can also get loans from PNB, SBI and many other banks to study.

There are many cultural and technical festivals organised in college every year. The main festival is Kolahaal which is of two days and there are many competitions organised in these two days. Another fest is Robochamp, which is a technical fest. In general, the life in college is very good. The relationship between students and faculty members are very good and there are many playground in the college to play many games. Everything is good in the college.
