Placements and Internships

JMC was the first college in DU to start a placement cell.Deloitte,KPMG,Teach for India ,E&Y,Oberoi hotels visit the campus for placements.The college does not provide any internship opportunities.Students have to rely on their own efforts to secure an intership. JMC offers certifiate courses in financial management,Media studies,entreprenuership,corporate communications and publi relations etc.These are six months long and are optional.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

JMC has one of the best infrastructure in all of DU.It is spread over 15 acres with two tennis courts,football ground and a gym. The newly renovated multistoried library is almost fully digital.Class rooms are spacious. JMC has an air conditioned hall and a huge multi purpose hall. .

Academics and Faculty

Accademics is taken seriously in JMC.There is a strict attendance policy.Teachers are regular. Class timings are from 8:30 to 4. Most of the teahers are helpful .Emphasis is placed on learning through seminars,assignments,projects etc. Some of the teachers teach with the help of a power pont presentation. The Commerce faculty is highly qualified and experienced.

Fees and Scholarships

Fees is around 12,000 per semester. Students can avail of financial assistance offered by Students aid fund and obtain a conssesion in fees.

Clubs and Associations

There are several student socities that cater to a range of interests - Western Dance,Music,Dramatics, film appreciation,debating etc Apart from this every departartment has a core committe.The commerce core committee has been the most active core committe since its inception and has recently come up with an e-cell and marketing club.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admissions are based on your performance in board exams. The cut off for commerce students is generally above 95%.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria were to meeting the cutoff percentage. The admission process was the same as other colleges. I took CPT examination and scored with 127 marks for it. The cutoff ranged from 95-96 percentile. 75 percentage for my course in JMC.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I had scored 90% in my 12th boards but the cut off was 97%, basically, I am a national level judoka and got admission through sports quota. There was no entrance test but sports trials for that at University level.
