Placements and Internships

3.5

The summer internship is mandatory in this college. you can go for the internship in any industry by having permission. Placement is quite good comparing with other colleges of Gujarat. Particularly in IT and Computer branches, nearly 100% placement is recorded in this year. For other branches like mechanical and civil placement is quite worse than the previous year. you can expect industrial giants like Reliance, TCS, Tata-AIG, sanmar, Shv to come for placement drive. and there are many local companies which are coming for placement drives from last 2 years. Alumni network is great, they regularly monitor the functions of colleges and also helpful in getting suggestions.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are 3-4 hostels which are governed by CVM. The condition of that hostels is average. But they are many options available nearby like ranting flats, PGs and also private hostels are available. Food canteen of colleges is not that good. Instead of the canteen, you can go to nearby shops which are cheaper than college canteen. Classrooms are very old, labs and libraries are the best, sorry but wifi is only for the teaching staff. The auditorium is comparatively small.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

No, there is no such need to give particular entrance examination. You can get admission through your merit base. That merit basically depends on your performance in state board exams and your JEE score. By combining this two and after normalization you will get your overall rank, which is the base for getting admission in this college according to the rules and regulations of GTU. Cutoff rank may vary branch wise, like for last year mechanical was around 1100 to 2000, but for IT it lasted around 3000. So for a particular branch, it varies according to the current trend. If you want to get admission in your choice you have to be in first 3000 students at least.

Academics and Faculty

2.5

You have to be punctual. Regular classes are compulsory. Teaching methods are sometimes felt old fashioned, but you can overcome it. You can perform practicals well because of plenty of practical setups are available in labs. You will get overall good experience with learning.

Fees and Scholarships

4

For GIA it costs around INR 5000 per year, and for SFI it may vary around INR 98,000 per year. There are many scholarship options are available some are from college and CM scholarship, Elicon scholarship is from the government and a private company which is nearby. Around 100+ will get various types of scholarship according to their performance. No, I think there is no need of bank loan because fee structure is simple and flexible.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

IEI, ISTE, and SSA are the main student's societies which generally organize college festivals. There are two types of festivals one is tech and other is nontech both are enthusiastic. UDAAN is the main tech+nontech festival organized by the college. Also, some zonal festivals like VOLCANO are the main attraction. College life is balanced on the campus.
