Placements and Internships
I did my internships in the lab as well as in company during the summer every year. The placement cell really work hard to make sure that each and every student get placed. Students who want to pursue the research career, facilities are provided to them by College.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
KIIT has the hostel for each and every department of technology. There are separate hostels for the girls and boys.The hostel fee is usually taken along with the semester fees for six months.The quality of classroom and labs are great. The food is good and hygienic.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
You have to score more than 60% in PCB/PCM to qualify for this course.This is a 5-year dual degree course (B.Tech and M.Tech) in Biotechnology. There is an entrance exam called KIITEE which is held every year in the month of April. The cutoffs are different for UR ,SC and ST students.
Academics and Faculty
The class timing usually starts from 8:15 am and it continues till 5 pm in the evening. There will be assignments of all the subjects that are taught in a semester. Two rounds of exams are held in each semester-Midsem and End-sem. Faculties are very friendly and their method of teaching is very appreciable. The labs are highly automated and you can have hands-on experience. This is the best institute to provide Biotechnology education in India.
Fees and Scholarships
The course fee is now about INR 2.25 lakh per semester. The course includes 10 semesters in total. Scholarships are provided to the toppers of each and every department. If one wants to avail the loan, he/she can take that from banks like SBI, HDFC, Axis and etc.
Clubs and Associations
KIIT has a student activity center (KSAC). It nurtures a number of societies run by the students from all the departments of the University. Techfests are organized in a grand way and all students participate and enjoy their college life in the best way.
