Finto Joseph's Review on Loyola College, Chennai

I haven't done an internship yet. Since I am a second-year student I didn't get the chance to attend one. Usually, third year students have the chance to participate in a number of internship opportunities. Companies like Goldman Sachs, eBay, standard chartered etc come for the placement. The average salary is about INR 25,000 per month. Loyola Alaa has a good network of aluminas. Oct 2nd is the Loyola alumini day.

There is only one hostel facilitated by Loyola. Hostels are very good the fee is around INR 2,500 per month which is excluding of food. There are numbers of PGs and hostels around Loyola college. PGs cost varies from INR 3,000 to INR 8,000 per month depending on the infrastructure. Loyola have beautiful food court and the food is very nice. The cost for a meal here is INR 75. Infrastructure is something which clearly makes Loyola number one in India. The quality of the classrooms are awesome and free WiFi is available on the campuses.

There is no entrance exam for UG courses in Loyola. Admission is based on the grades of plus two mark of students. Higher the mark higher is the chance to get admission here. Typical cut off marks here is 60% in the higher secondary class.

Class timings are 8:15 am to 1:15 am. Loyola follows semester pattern which includes the semester pattern in a year. The quality of teaching is excellent here. Most of the professors are  PhD holders. The overall experience at Loyola is pretty much exciting.

My course fee is about INR 15,000 per year. Scholarships are available for backward students with a concession of 70% in the fees. The average number of students who get scholarship varies from year to year. An average of 100 students will get the scholarship. Loans aren't needed to study here since the fees are pretty low.

There are about 18 clubs in loyola. Club is mandatory for a student to complete his degree in Loyola . There are several festivals and mainly are the Ovations, College day and the hostel day. A lot of extracurricular activities are conducted here in Loyola. Life in Loyola is really like a dream come true for me.
