As I am in 1st year, I have not done any internship yet. But there are various workshops, which I have been taken part, related to robotics, programming etc. Some of the company's as I know which hire students from us are oil India, ONGC, BSNL etc.
There are total 10 hostels in the campus 8 for boys and 2 for girls. Hostel fee is nearly INR 2,000 to 4,000 per month. Food is not that good. Meals cost around INR 40 to 100 per meal. Quality of classrooms and labs are very impressive.
A student should have passed his 12th grade with minimum 60%. The name of the entrance exam is Combined Entrance Exam (CEE). The previous version of the paper caries 300 marks with 300 questions, 100 from each. There were no negative marks until the previous year. Approximately 130 is the cut off marks for the general students.
The class is from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. There are many class tests and projects are given. And a mid-term exam and a final exam held every semester. Teaching quality is very good. Teachers are awesome.
The course fee is INR 10,000 to 20,000 per annum. There are many scholarship options available. Around 60% to 70% of students got the scholarship. I think loans are not needed.
There are various clubs like photo craft for photography, Avant Garde for art and craft, RoboWorld for robotics and NGO. Phoenix is the main cultural techno-management festival celebrated in this college.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : One needs to qualify ASSAM CEE to take admission in JEC. The student needs to secure at least 60% in his 12 standard qualifying examination in Science stream. ASSAM CEE is usually divided into 3 parts Physics, Maths and Chemistry. Cutoffs can vary every year.
