Anisha Mahawar's Review on IIS

The college itself provides many internship programs for the students. I have done an internship in EHCC hospital under the guidance of Dr. Garima Shrivastava. The key company that hires from our college is Genpact. The average salary is around 3 lakhs and the highest has been 10 lakhs. One would need at least percentage over 76 percent to be placed.

The college itself provides two hostels, one within the campus area and the other one is at a little distance. As for the fees of the hostel, it's one lakh per year. There are other options available outside the college as well. There are many private hostels and PGs. The fees of these vary accordingly. The college has provided us with canteens. There are 3 canteens available within the campus itself and then there is campus hotel's Kitchen which serves food at 60 rupees per thali. The food is good though. The classrooms are perfectly light and well ventilated. The labs the sufficiently equipped. The library is very well stocked with important books and information.

The eligibility criteria is 50 % in 12th and there are no entrance exams

ICG is very conscious about its academics. The college runs on two shifts i.e., morning shift and noon shift. Morning shift starts at 8 in the morning till 1:45 in the noon whereas noon shift starts at 9:30 in the morning till 3 in the noon. ICG has adopted semester system which means exams in every six months. In the course of three years in a bachelor's program, we have six semesters with the internals of 30 marks in between each semester and finals at the end of each semester of 70 marks. Assignments are a part of internals where as projects are given for finals which hold the value of 100 marks. The teaching method used in ICG is both audio and visual which is very practical for students as they get understand concepts easily. In between each semester feedback forms are to be filled by the students so that, if they face any problem, it can be resolved. Apart from academics, ICG is very concerned about its cultural activities as well. We have, college fests every year, then there is a fashion show, annual day, sports week and many more.

The course fee is around INR 50000 per year.

The students are free to join any clubs they want. The college has provided with cultural, sports and social service clubs. The cultural club is further divided into dance/music and art and crafts. Special classes are held for these clubs in every Monday. The main festivals on the campus are cultural fest which lasts for 3 days and then there are a fashion show and sports week which lasts for 1 week. In general, the life in college is very happening. Yearly trips are planned for the departments. One would definitely enjoy being there.
