Tejaswi Vajinepalli's Review on RVR and JC College of Engineering

I am doing few internships virtual through Internshala, based on core subjects and other skills that I have. There are few internship opportunities for our college from few companies, but very limited. Maximum Package is around 7.5 lakhs(INR) P.A, the average would be at 4 lakhs(INR) P.A. We have a strong Alumni Network and they keep in touch and would be paying visits.

There is one hostel inside the campus, and two in the town. There is a distance of 20 km between town and college. The fee is a burden compared to the cost of PGs outside the college, even taking services and food into consideration, food at college hostel is not up to the mark, it meets the minimum criteria but the food at college is good and the price is quite reasonable. Classrooms are not too posh and polished, but facilities available are adequate. The library is not so complete, it lacks many needed books, coming to labs, this is where. Our college shiness bright fully equipped with machinery, of course, few are outdated but not a big deal, there is no WiFi facility at the college or at the hostel. The internet facility can be accessed through computer centers. Infrastructure wise our college is good.

I took AP EAMCET exam for the admission, there is a management quota available too. The cut offs keep on varying from year to year, our course has a decent cutoff as our college is the most preferred college for the course that I am currently pursuing.

Class timings are fine, easily can be followed. Method of teaching is fine but quality can be improved. Overall experience in college can be articulated as a overall development of a student provided he makes use of every opportunity that comes in his way.

The course fee is 1.08lakhs (INR)P.A fee. There are few merit-based scholarships and few poor-based scholarships. The amount ranges from 10k to 45k(INR) per month. Reimbursement is what many students acquire that is provided by the Government, but scholarships very limited around 20 people get it per year of the 4.5k(INR) strength. Loans are definitely needed for a middle-class family to reach this, they are available from banks.

There are a lot of clubs in the college and we do have a technical fest, sports fest and cultural fest of which the cultural fest is the brightest attraction with a lot of activities and entertainment, the annual day celebrations are a major attraction during the spring. Clubs have active participation in many of the events. Life in college is routine to say but provided the student takes part in the clubs actively, he can improve himself through a lot of activities.
