College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
The college has one of the best infrastructures with a clean atmosphere around. Every department has its own building. There is free 24 hours wifi on the campus making things a lot easier. There are both boys and girls hostel on the campus. There is 6 boys hostel in total with mess giving all three meals.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
In order to get admitted into any stream here, one has to submit his/her twelfth and JEE main marks based on which a rank list will be formulated. If your rank is in the top 900 or 1000, you might be called on the first day of counselling.
For candidates applying from other states, JEE marks is compulsory and cutoff is determined as 30% of 12th marks + 70% of JEE mains marks.
and for candidates from within the district, JEE marks is not compulsory thus cutoff will be decided purely based on 12th marks.
Academics and Faculty
The class timings at SASTRA is very hectic with class starting from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm. The teaching is of high quality and there are projectors in every classroom to enhance the level of teaching quality and to adapt to modern teaching methods. Projects and mini projects can be done under any professor guidance. A minimum of 80% attendance is required to appear for semester examinations.
Clubs and Associations
There are basically 3 literary clubs, studio club etc. There are 3 main festivals in SASTRA. SASTRA offers the best college life.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There is no entrance test for this university, it all depends on the basis of AIEEE score and intermediate marks and reservations are according to locality. I took different entrance tests for different universities but this is best among them. The cutoff for the mechanical branch is 75% AIEEE score and 25% from the intermediate score. Generally, every department has the same cutoff for this deemed university
