I started the internship with stipend at around INR 16000 per month. There is no system of campusing in the medical field in West Bengal.
There are 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. The fees are very nominal around 160 per year excluding the cost of meals in the hostel. For meals, we used to spend around INR 4000 to 5000 per month. The classrooms were big like theatre mode. Wifi was not available on our college campus.
For admission to MBBS, I gave WBJEE examination. The cut-off score was around 50%. But the competition was huge as the number of seats were only 1500 approx.
The routine was fixed from 8:00 am till 1 pm. My overall experience in this college has been upto my satisfactory level. The quality of teaching is 2nd best in West Bengal according to me.
The course fee for MBBS was around INR 9000 per year excluding admission fee. There is also separate hostel fee and an annual fee for journal or college magazine. Bank loans are easily available in the name of Education Loan from any reputed bank in India as STATE BANK OF INDIA or HDFC or AXIS BANK or ICICI BANK or PNB, etc.
There are many programs which run on our college campus throughout the year as FRESHER DAY. This college is good according to me for studying as it is located in the geographically suitable area.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I am studying MBBS in North Bengal Medical College which is in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Since it is a Government medical college, I got a seat through the NEET- UG 2013 exam which was a national entrance exam that year. My General category rank was near about 900 or so in the State level. The eligibility criteria for the entrance exam as a General category student was a minimum of 50% in the Higher secondary examination. A medical college as such doesn't have any cut-offs as regards to the higher secondary level exam because of the entrance exam.
