Maryam Mehndi's Review on SHUATS - Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences

Exactly I don't know about placements but still from my seniors I came to know that placements which are provided by my university are especially in foreign countries but after doing your bachelors with good CGPA and masters as well.

There are two or three hostels for girls i.e old hostel, new hostel and International hostel and same for boys also. For the fee, you can check it on shiats.edu.in site. Yeah, there is a pg option on the campus and its fee us around Rs 5000(INR) including mess but it depends on your demand that what type of PG you want. Mess foods are not good but canteens and cafe foods are tasty. I don't know about other departments but our department is well furnished I can say the best infrastructure in the whole university, classes are fully air-conditioned, projectors are available, good books are available in the library, wifi system is there, labs are just ok not so good.

Candidate should have at least 50% in 10+2, there is an entrance exam which is conducted by the university itself. There is no cutoff system but after agriculture and horticulture, there is a preference of biotech in the university.

Classes are regular starts from 9:00 am and gets over by 5:00 pm, in between we get 2-3 classes free along with the lunch break but sometimes as we are basically dealing with practicals most of the time so in such cases that classes are included into practicals. There are two test from each subject taken before the end term examination along with 1 assignments of each subject, assignment can be of any type i.e it can be hard written on a given topic sometimes we have to give presentation in place of assignment, sometimes we have to take the class on a given topic so it depends on the teacher now coming to the quality of teaching, I will describe it in 1 word. Overall everything is good that's why I am studying here. According to my point of view nothing is perfect so i can't say perfect but it is good.

Rs 76000(INR) per year and scholarships are available for the candidates like they can apply for U.P scholarship or University scholarship or there is a discount in fee for the economically weak students also. Exactly I don't know the number of students who are getting scholarships but most of the students who are economically weak, they are getting discount on their fee from the university. And yea loans are available easily, many students from my batch are getting loans from the bank.

There is a no of societies, cultural clubs or different clubs, you can check it on the university site. The number of events and grand festivals is organized like fresher's party, farewell, seminars sports day, teachers day etc. Generally a very good college life you will enjoy here like different types of friends from different areas, love life.
