Placements and Internships

2.5

Well, the department here is highly motivated to get their students placed in the best of the positions. I did my summer training at INMAS DRDO and then my project here in MIET under Prof Elisa Chakraborty. These two helped me grab my current job as a research assistant at R&D dept of J Mitra company Pvt Ltd. Highest package in my batch was about 3.5 (INR) P.A. Dept of biotechnology MIET also arrange alumni meet and other lecture programs which were also very beneficial in my case.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

Infrastructure is quite maintained now. Early wasn't that good. But yes you won't feel hopeless there. College hostel is also quite good and pg options are also available nearby with good food. Food in college is also fine as compared other PGs. So overall it's good and manageable living there.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

I really feel fortunate to have completed my graduation from this institute. My admission was through management quota, but my other friends got here through the entrance exam UPTU. There is a percentage based criteria to get through management seat so you got to have a decent marks in your matriculation. I would like to mention this too that biotechnology department here in this is very devoted towards their student's best future. So I had great experience with the teachers and the college which was highly supportive for me to make myself what I'm today. All the best.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

We had to maintain a decent amount of attendance, above 75% overall and also a decent amount of marks to get that internals. 1 hour was given to each class with 5 lectures in a day. Last 3 hours of the day was supposed to be allotted for practical purposes. Teachers are very friendly and helpful in the dept of biotechnology at MIET in particular. So my experience was great.

Fees and Scholarships

1.5

Per year, approximately a lakh is like the estimated amount which a student would require to complete. Btech course in this college. There's the option for a scholarship which comes under a government of Uttar Pradesh, so it's not that convenient. Punjab National Bank provides the loan to students with quite easy interest.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

College has quite a range of extracurricular clubs. Fests are fun and disciplined. No safety issues during festival time (best part). Sports fests are also organized annually with literary programs. So overall a fun filled year as far as events are concerned. Students can grow themselves and have fun simultaneously.
