Placements and Internships
Coal India limited, Vedanta, BALCO, and many more companies visit here every year. The average salary is around 5.96 lakh(INR) per annum. Maximum salary is around 12 lakh(INR).Last year around 49 students was placed. About 10 students placed in Coal India Limited.This year 12 students have been placed in Vedanta with 9.1 lakh(INBR) per annum.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Here is a hostel problem, only four hostels are there for 1st years. In which only 230+ students use to live, who are from different states, home state students also live. In 2nd,3rd, the 4th-year hostel is allotted to only those who got good SPI irrespective of home state or another state and each branch is allotted hostel in 2nd 3rd and 4th year. Rs32000(INR) per annum is hostel fees. Food is well prepared. About 60 to 66rupees cost per classrooms is fully and they air-conditioned.Labs are well equipped.The library is very nice.WiFi is very fast.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
I have cleared JEE MAIN in the year 2017. I am from OBC category.I got 113/360. The cutoff for OBC was 49 marks out of 360. I got selected at NIT Raipur in the special round.
Academics and Faculty
Daily routine start's with 9:00 am and ends at 5:15 pm. Projects are given and assignments are also given in every subject. Exams are held at regular intervals.Method of teaching is not up to mark. The student has to learn most things by self.
Fees and Scholarships
I belong to OBC category. My family income is less than 1(INR) lakh.So I have to pay only Rs6500 per annum. I have spent only 4 months here. So yet there is no scholarship for my category.
Clubs and Associations
Here are many clubs like Sahyog, Abhinay, Nrityam, Clickclub, NCC and many more. Main tech fests are Electika and Aavartan.Life at Nit Is excellent.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Ours is the institute built far back in 1956 as Govt. College of Engg. We are still using the same building but the extent of renovation it has undergone is remarkable. We have classrooms with nice ambience & labs with proper equipment. We also have e-classroom facility available to connect to any Institute or National Conference which helps in the development of the students. Our institute is situated in the heart of the city Raipur, unlike other recognised institutes that are far flung from the main city. There is also excellent public transport facility availableWi-Fi installation in the campus is in progress & will be accomplished soon.
