College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are a total of 10 hostels 8 for boys, 2 for girls. There are many PGs nearby outside the college campus. Quality of Classrooms are good, equipped with projectors etc.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

One needs to qualify ASSAM CEE to take admission in JEC. The student needs to secure at least 60% in his 12 standard qualifying examination in Science stream. ASSAM CEE is usually divided into 3 parts Physics, Maths and Chemistry. Cutoffs can vary every year.

Academics and Faculty

Classes generally start from 7:30 am in the morning and goes on till 4:30 pm in the evening. Quality of teaching is quite good. Good experience overall.

Course fee for BE student is Rs11,000. Students can apply for numerous scholarships like Ishan Uday, NEC, and many others. A good number of students get the scholarships.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : A student should have passed his 12th grade with minimum 60%. The name of the entrance exam is Combined Entrance Exam (CEE). The previous version of the paper caries 300 marks with 300 questions, 100 from each. There were no negative marks until the previous year. Approximately 130 is the cut off marks for the general students.
