Yes, I have done internships in computer networking in TCS, Guwahati. Yes, different sort of companies like IT sector, marketing sector etc do hire a few students every year tough the placement result is not 100%. Average salary per year is 3.0 lakhs(INR) per year. Highest salary is 12 lakhs per year. The percentage of batch which gets placed is 25%. The alumni network is not bad.

There are 9 hostels in my university. Four boys and 5 girls hostels. We need to pay monthly fees of Rs1500(INR) as mess dues. The university has a nice hostel facility so around 95% of the students reside inside it. The quality of classrooms, labs, dining halls is really good. The infrastructure is really good and the Wifi connectivity on the campus is fast. 

I cleared JEE MAIN examination which was conducted in 2013 to get selected into the university. The cutoffs were different according to the categorized. I was selected in the general category.

We have daily 7 classes and at an average 5 practical classes per week. Though class and practicals vary from semester to semester.  It depends on the teacher, whether he wants some extra project done or not. We have four exams in a semester. Classes are off for Friday and Saturday. The quality of teaching is not bad.Though some teachers are really poor in teaching. My overall experience is good.

My course fees are around Rs16000(INR) per semester, and we have 8 semesters. The scholarship options available to students are good, we have various scholarship schemes though the administration doesn't allow the students to get more than 2 scholarships at a time. The average number of students who get the scholarship is around 30%. Since the University is a central university so loans are usually not required since the fees structure is not so high.

There are a lot of student societies including self-made organization and clubs for the welfare of the society. The safety of the students is well taken care of by the organizations which are self-formed inside the campus. We have NCC and NSS also in the university. The main festival of the university is the technically festival Techxetra. It is well known all around the nation as well. The college life, in general, is good.
