Many big Companies such as TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, INFOSYS etc hire students from the college.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There is at present a Ladies hostel nearby. A men's hostel is also under construction. PG options are available with a special Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics systems given by MERCEDEZ BENZ The cost of meals are nominal and the quality is good. College provides good classroom facility, Well maintained library and excellent free Wi-Fi connectivity.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The admission to the college is strictly on merit basis through reservation of seats for the minority community is prevalent. Admissions are based on the ranks obtained in the KERALA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (KEAM), a statewide test.

Academics and Faculty

Daily classes start from 9 AM to 12 Noon and from 1 PM to 4 PM. Projects and assignments are given time to time as per the syllabus. The quality of teaching is excellent and the faculty is a set of highly qualified teachers from premier institutes such as IITM, NIT etc. The college provides necessary infrastructural facility and excellent faculty for the students.

Fees and Scholarships

The course fee is Rs 8225 per year as prescribed by the Commissionor for Entrance Examinations Kerala. Many scholarships such as eGrants, those from Malayali association of USA are available to the needed students. Loans are not much necessary because it's a government college and the fee structure is nominal.

Clubs and Associations

There are many student chapters like IEEE, ISTE, IEDC etc. Robotics club like Bartanoidz, IEEERAS etc are also very active in the college. The tech fest of college AAGNEYA is one of the biggest in Kerala. The arts fest is SARGAM, the days which every GECBian will cherish. There is a charitable society camp INSPIRE which arranges a 3 day camp for orphan people in the college premises named INSPIRE CAMP.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Aspirants must pass their Higher secondary or plus two equivalents with a minimum of 75% mark. Aspirants must attend an entrance test (KEAM) and qualify within a rank of below 4000. For mechanical engineering cut-offs for general category was within 4000 ranks in KEAM entrance. Govt engineering college Thiruvananthapuram (GECB) also offers courses like BTech in Civil engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Information technology. GECB is the only college in South India that offers a course in collaboration with Mercedes Benz (ADAM).

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I appeared for KEAM exam in 2016-2017, that was the eligibility criteria. There was no cutoff beyond that.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Passing KEAM with a good score and with a good board exam marks. The cutoffs for ME in GECBH is around 3000-4000 marks.
