More than 50 companies come for placements here. To get placed in a good company, you need knowledge apart from the curriculum. TCS recruits a bulk amount of people from the campus.

The admission procedures are same as for every courses. First, you have to get the application form from the University or if your place is not nearby, you can pay and download it from the SASTRA University website. Fill the details and submit it. There are two streams. If you wish to go through stream 1, then you should have appeared for JEE MAIN examination. 70% of JEE MAIN score and 30% of the Boards score will be taken into account. In general, JEE MAIN score of above 100 will be ample to get the required course. If you wish to go through stream 2 then your Boards total is enough.

The classes commence at 8.45 am and end at 5.15 pm ( a student may not have every period from 8.45 to 5.15. He/She may have free periods according to their timetable). In between, there will be a lunch break of 1 hour and a 15-minute break after every 2 periods. The method and quality of teaching vary according to the lecturer. But most of them have a ocean of knowledge and are good.

The fee pay per semester is INR 45,000 but, it is now higher for later batch students (must be higher than INR 50,000). Scholarships are available for toppers. Top 10% of students come under Dean's list and a part of the semester fee will be refunded. For hostellers, if they have an attendance percentage of above 90%, have paid their mess fee regularly without fine and have a CGPA of and above 7.5 are eligible to apply for hostel scholarship.
