I am in second year of college and several workshops have been organized in the college such as entrepreneurship, personality development courses, etc. We weekly have a class of training and placement skill development.
There are 2 hostels for girls and 2 for the boys. The PGs outside the college depend upon the location we choose. The minimum cost of PGs near the college area is 3500/- month which is of a 1 bhk house. The food quality in college canteen is not of so good quality. We rarely prefer going over there also the cost according to the quality and quantity seems higher. Classrooms are well occupied with smart class and all necessary stuff whereas, labs and libraries have shortages of equipments/books most of the time. No Wi-Fi is available at the college campus for the students. However it is available at the hostels.
The eligibility criteria is 12th pass from any recognized board of India. The JEE MAIN marks is the basis of admission in the college. However, there were no cutoff marks decided for the college. The typical cutoffs for BE degree as per JEE board is 45+ for general category.
The daily routine overall is quite good. However, initially the class timings are too early in morning i.e., 8:30 onwards the exams and assignment are taken on time. The quality used to teach is not so good. The students have to depend mostly on side books or coaching centres. Faculties who teach in college seem just interested in completing the stuff. Overall the study seems not of so good quality but besides this there are few teachers who are very supportive and teach well also.
The course fee I pay is INR 72000/- per year. Scholarships are easily available for the SC/ST/OBC categories. However, the general category students have to top at the University level. Yes, loans are needed for the general category. Middle-class families. The loans are easily available from either govt. or private banks.
There are clubs and association on campus but the teachers don't make the students aware of those things. It is like if one is interested you should go, participate alone, show the winning result and then get appreciation from the college. The main festivals on campus include Ganesh chaturthi carnival and annual function. The college Life in general is very boring as no extra curricular activities are introduced.
