Placements and Internships

4.5

College doesn't provides internships. One can search for internships during the semester hoildays. I did a internship at Doordarshan during my 7th Sem vactaion. The college supports internships in any good related companies one is interested in. There in be many workshops where one can get exposure to the practical oriented learning. SVCE provides placements in the final year. Our placement officer has a very good networks in software and IT domain. Many companies visit SVCE and the average salary package would be INR 2-3 lakhs p.a. In every batch, around 40% of students get placed.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

SVCE has a beautiful infrastructure. It has two blocks: E&C, CS, IS, EE in one block and Civil and Mechanical in another block. The whole building will be kept clean, every time. SVCE provides hostels too. Two students will be accommodated in each room. The hostel fee will be around INR 60,000 p.a. SVCE has a canteen, providing tasty food and one meal will be around INR 40 per meal. There are many PGs and rooms that can be rented near the college premises. The cost of PGs is INR 4-5k per month and rooms are available at the cost of INR 3-4k per month. SVCE has very good classrooms where one can be comfortable enough to study and do all the co-curricular activities. It has well-equipped labs The library provides very good textbooks. Most of the books are international authored. Library even provides book bank facilities and WiFi.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria is to score 75% or above in 12th-grade. To get a government quota seat, the rank around 20-30k in CET is required. One can also get in through management quota. I had a percentage of 72 in my PUC and I took admission through CET and my rank was around 27k.

Academics and Faculty

5

The class starts from 8.30 am. We had a short break of 15 minutes at 10.30 am and a lunch break of 30 minutes at 1 pm. The college gets off at 4 pm. We get assignments every semester, after every unit test. Each semester had 3 internal exams, which helps to prepare well for the exams. The method and quality of teaching are excellent. My overall experience was excellent.

Fees and Scholarships

4.5

Since I was from government quota, my fee was INR 36k (CET fee) + INR 25k (College fee). Through management quota, the fee was around INR 1 lakh p.a. Students can apply for the scholarship, which will be given by the government. Almost 80% of the students got scholarships in my batch. One can also get their fee paid through loans. Loans are easily available from all the Nationalized banks.

Clubs and Associations

5

There are a few clubs in college for the enthusuastic students. There are clubs for the college magazine, sports and even cultural activities. Through the department, one can also be the member of IEEE and IETE clubs. There are cultural fests like Kalavaibhava, Shrusti and technical fest Udyuktha being celebrated in college. The life in college is good.
