Ashutosh Shelke's Review on RMD Sinhgad School of Engineering

College provides internships to the students. I personally have not done any internships. The placements in Sinhagad are centralized, therefore all the Sinhagad colleges provide good placements. Typically INR 3 to 4 lakhs per annum is given to the freshers. The highest package was INR 18 lakhs per annum by MuSigma. Normally, 50 to 60% students get placed. As I'm new to this college, I don't have knowledge about the alumni network.

College does not have a hostel in the campus. The hostel is at Sinhagad Vadgaon campus. In college, the canteen is reasonable and it offers basic food like chai, patties, vada pav, rice plate, South Indian dishes, etc. Classrooms are in good condition, labs are regularly checked, but the library is old, the reading hall has partitions for girls and boys. No wifi facility is available here.

I took admission direct to the second year of Engineering because I have completed my Diploma. The Eligibility criteria was the aggregate marks of Diploma. The admission procedure was Centralized. I did not appear in any entrance exam to get admission to this college. Admission was based only on merit in Diploma. The typical cutoff for Computer Engineering is around 78 for Open and around 75 for OBC.

College timing is from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Many activities are conducted by the teachers like role play, poster making, etc. Assignments are given regularly. Term work depends on assignments. Quality of teaching is just above average. Teachers try their best to teach, PPTs are used when it is necessary. All the PPTs are mailed to the students after the lecture. Overall it's a good experience here.

The course fee for Computer Engineering is INR 97000 per year as of now. Many scholarships are provided by the government if you fall under their criteria. If anyone needs the loan, college does not have the scheme for that.

There is no association of students, at least for Computer Engineering. The main association is ACE and it is active in college. Every festival is held at Sinhagad Vadgaon campus. The life in this college is pretty average.
