Indu Madhuri's Review on GATES Institute of Technology

I did not participate in any internship till now. The companies that hire from our campus are Glenwood, Softek, IBM which are the IT companies and the roles are software engineer, Desktop support engineer. The average salary that was offered was INR 75000 and the highest package was INR 220000. Alumni network is the essential thing that is to be held in the colleges to create awareness and share the experiences of seniors to juniors which is helpful.

There are 2 hostels, one for boys and one for girls. The hostel is good but sometimes there is water scarcity as it is a rural area. The hostel fee is INR 3000 per month. The other options for accommodation was the Balaji hostel which is not related to college and it is also good and the cost is INR 2600 per month. The food in the college is satisfactory and the cost is INR 50 per meal. The infrastructure in all aspects is good, but there is no Wi-Fi facility available in the college or even hostel premises. 

I took AP EAMCET exam to join Engineering. A student must secure a good rank below 3000 for well-reputed colleges and getting a rank below 50000 places in good colleges.

The day starts at 9:30 am and each class is for 50 minutes. The labs will be conducted for 2 days a week. The assignments will be given by the concerned lecturers weekly and the exams are also conducted. The 2 internal exams mid 1 and mid 2 are conducted regularly for each semester and at the end of each semester, there will be external exams. The projects can be done in the final year of the course and the mini projects can be done in the 3rd year if interested. The quality of teaching in ECE department is excellent and it is the same with other branches as well. The method of teaching includes classroom teaching and can be through digital in some cases. Every faculty tries to imbibe the concepts into the students and are very supportive.

The course fee is INR 35000 per year for the convenor quota and INR 50000 for the management quota. The fee reimbursement is provided by the government and also the scholarship for SC, ST, OBC candidates are available.

There are no such student societies on the campus. The college day event, and the fests are celebrated by every branch on the campus where sports, technical and cultural events are involved. In general, the life at the college is wonderful.
