Placements and Internships
- On Chemistry, no projects are given.
- The other subjects along with Chemistry which is opted like Biotechnology or Microbiology as such will have projects related to the subject and you can attend many National and State level seminars.
- You will have at least 2 to 3 certificates of the respective seminars.
- Placements are good at Alva's.
- You have to attend many placement training which is conducted.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- For UG course, there is one girl's hostel and one boy's hostel.
- Five in a room.
- Hostel fee is 21000/-Rs + mess bill of 2500/-Rs every month at Alva's
- Food is not so good.
- Lab, classrooms, libraries, and mess is really good.No wi-fi.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- There is no entrance exam to join the Alva's but depending on your PU board marks admissions are done and the course which is opted for also matters to some extent.
Academics and Faculty
- On weekdays the classes are from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturday the classes are from 9am-1pm.
- In the first two years, you will have certificate course so you can choose any certificate course like photography computer programming etc..
- Assignments are must including the projects.
- Teaching is good for all subjects at Alva's
Fees and Scholarships
- College fee depends on the combination and the subjects opted by the student at Alva's
- If B.Sc life science that is BCZ BCB MCZ MBB all that comes around 35000 to 45000 per year.
- Hostel fee is separate.
Clubs and Associations
- A cultural team is available which includes music dance drama and other categories.
- Alvas nudisiri, Alvas Virasath, Alvas Deepavali are the main celebrations.
- College life is good.
- Not much exposure to the society.
- Only the campus life but it's good.
