Placements and Internships
- This diploma course has a mandatory training program which should be at least done for about 8 weeks in the whole 3 years of the program.
- Students have done internships in renowned companies like Mondelez International India, Aarey Dairy & The Trident Hotels.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The cutoff score for Ramnarain Ruia College is 65%
- The eligibility criteria is a 10+2 qualification from a science background.
- There are no such entrance exams for BSc admissions. The MSc admissions are on the basis of merit.
Academics and Faculty
- Classes are usually in the morning with regular 5 hour periods.
- The teachers are very passionate and skilled.
- My overall experience was very good and I enjoyed most of the lectures and practical sessions.
- The college life was fun with lots of new things to learn.
Fees and Scholarships
- The tuition fee in the first year is around 16,000 rupees. In the second year, the fee is 15,000 and it decreases again to 14,000 in the third year.
- Scholarships are based on merit.
- Loans are not needed because we can also pay the fees in installments and the fee concession is even less for lower caste people.

Academics & Faculty : The college was established in 1937, and over the years has earned a reputation for itself among one of the top colleges in Mumbai. It is affliated to Mumbai University but from the academic year 2015-2016, it is going to be an Autonomous Institution. It was recently awarded College of Excellence by UGC. the college covers a variety of subjects in Arts and Science streams from 11th to MSc and Phd. Teachers are the best, in classrooms as well as in co-curricular activities. They also guide and help in matters outside syllabus like carrer paths and choices.
