- Key Companies like HCL, TATA hire business management students from our college and the local business authorities from reputed and good business concerns recruit students from Scott Christian College.
- Reputed schools like SRM are recruiting teachers and many other CBSEand ICSE schools recruit fresh degree holders with teaching skills.
- Good salary and good accommodation are provided to the recruited students within the schools they teach.An average salary of 8000-20000 is paid for those who get into the teaching profession.The placement cell is very active since 2014 when compared to the previous years.The placement cell often conducts job fairs for students along with the local business concerns and schools.
- The alumni network is very active in all the welfare activities of our college and has contributed a lot to its development.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There is only one hostel and it is only for women in Scott Christian College.The food is not that delicious but good.The establishment charge including room rent is Rs.3000/ per sem.An amenities fee of Rs 100/ will be collected every month.A deposit of Rs1000 is paid before admission is made.Free meal day medicare available for the poor students.
- The outer infrastructure is marvellous but the quality of classrooms are bit dark.Some classes have leakage during rains.Fans are not provided for all classes.classes are cleaned once a week.
- Free wifi is available in the campus.The library is open from9:00-am to 4:00 pm on all working days.students can utilise their leisure time by joining Library Assistance Programme.The PG fees rates are not so expensive like colleges in cities.It's reasonable and affordable.
- We have well equiped laboratories and good number of laboratory equipments.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria for Scott Christian College were kept so simple.The students who apply first were given priority.
- There were no entrance exams.
- There were no cutoffs for our course.Students who joined lately were put in the self-finance classes.If one has to get into a Aided course marks are only secondary.What you need to do is apply for the course rapidly before the seats get filled.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine at Scott Christian College Classes begins from9:30 - 3:15.We have two semesters in a year.Two internal exams are conducted for 50 marks and the best out of the two internal marks will be considered.After the Internal exams, we will be having a model exam conducted in the same semester exam model.one word exams are conducted separately via online.Internal exams are conducted in the morning and as usual, classes will be continued after the exams.
- I give 7/10 for the quality and method of teaching.
- I give 7/10 for the overall experience in the college.The only thing I find miserable in the examination system is that we always receive the examination timetable only in the neck of the movement.our college is an autonomous college.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fees are kept low for the aided courses and are high for the self-financed courses in Scott Christian College.
- The minority scholarship and national scholarships are available and around 40-50Percent students get a scholarship.
- Loans are not needed.Govt of India scholarship for HinduSC/ST students are available up to 100000.state scholarship for Christian, Dalit students are available upto50000, Post-matric scholarships for BC, MBC students are also available.Handicapped students can approach the social welfare department directly.Defence service scholarship is also available for the children of the army men.college scholarships are also available.
Clubs and Associations
- Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club, Physical education, NCC, NSS, Rotaract Club, Scott Adventure Club are provided here in Scott Christian College.
- We have a sports day, college day, Union day, Christmas day celebrations, Traditional Day and Talent show as the main festival.
