A1) Daily Routine: Class timings are usualy 8-5 with a lunch break in between.. Projects: We have to compulsory submit a probect in the final year and summer internship.. Assignments and tutorial sheets are regularly given and discussed.... A2) Thapar has ab excellent faculty and amazing library facility therefore the quality of teaching and education is par excellence... A3) Overall the college experience is great except the huge fee and large batch size.. It boasts of a huge cutural diversity on campus which provides a great overall grwth of a person. Hostels are great.. College fest, Various activities and clubs keep taking place round the year contributing immensely to ones all round development

A1) 7 hostels are there.. The fee varies as per the hostel but the avaerage is around 30,000.. The hostels are very clean and better than the other B.Tech hostels.... A2) PG cost would be around 2.5k.. A3)Food in college is great with multiple options available and it is economical and very manageable for a student with a meagre pocket money.. A4) Classrooms are big and comfortable... Labs are well maintained.. Some hostels have LAN and some have Wifi..Computer labs lets students access the internet free of charge.. Thapar has beautiful campus with lush green lawns and courts for all the sports including swimming pool
A1) There are various societies and clubs on campus such as the toastmaster club, The dramatica club. Thapar nautanki team, Dance club-Nox, Bhangra club, Singing club, Technical clubs, MUN society etc....... A2) Thapar has two main fests round the year that are Aranya and Saturnalia which are organized on a very large scale and apart from them smaller fests and events are organised round thenyear to keep the students active and busy throughout the year
A1) Eligibility Criteria: Passed class XIIth examination with minimum 60% marks. Candidate must give AIEEE exam and clear it with at least 20% marks. Candidate should be the citizen of India. For getting admission into THAPAR, you have to give JEE MAIN and the seat is allotted as per your rank. Besides, it has some seats reserved for students under sports quota and also for J&K and NE students having separate cut off for students of Punjab state and rest of India. Typical cut off for the civil branch is usually about 70-80.
When it comes to placements, Thapar is mainly famous among students who apply for mechanical and computer branch but the other branches are also at par. For civil, core companies like l&t and gammon to name few do come and the average salary package of all branches combined is about 6 lakh per annum. At last, coming to the alumni network, the seniors are very good and u can have interaction with the alumni of this institute.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and use various means of teaching like projectors, experiments, videos etc to make students understand but for some teachers, communication becomes a barrier. Student to faculty ratio is one teacher for every 15-25 students. No, we did not get any industry exposure till now. Yes, they have a very good course curriculum that one finds very interesting to study and helpful too like the operation of robocars, making of mangonel and various competitions etc.
