Summer internship in relevant field of interest is compulsory and winter internships are also persuaded by most of the students. Students get placed in reputed organizations with prissy pay packages during executive as well as summer placements. Also, students are bestowed by outstanding alumni- both on quality and quantitaive basis.

Large 365 acres' campus with distinct departments with well maintained road network is primary feature of IIT Roorkee. Every department is well-equipped with upgraded labs, strong Wi-Fi and are fully furnished. It's lush green campus includes distinguished sports' complex and various clubs of extra curricular activities which helps in overall development of students. Numerous Hostels, Guest rooms and Canteens are available which provide variable, healthy and tasty food at minimal rates. E-rickshaws commute within and outside campus round the clock. Bus-stand and railway station are at proximable distances.

Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee comprises of esteem faculty fraternity with student base of around 85 students per batch and 13 permanent faculty alongwith some visiting faculty as well. The course of twice-a-year semester system includes general MBA subjects in first two (for overall knowledge inculcation of budding managers in every field- Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR and IT) and third and fourth semesters include subjects relevant to dual specializations opted by students as per their choice. Faculty use case studies, presentations, various tools and techniques for teaching purpose and they clear the doubts of students in a very interactive way round the clock. Overall a learning environment.

Feasible fee structure with high return over investment is the key feature. Students can apply for scholarships which are provided on grade basis. Easy loan could be availed by most of the banks on low rate of interest.

There are various clubs and committees on dapartmental as well as university level which cater to academics and hard skills & soft skills. In DoMS, there are different clubs which are managed by students and they organize various events on a regular basis.
