Placements and Internships

3.5

  • The placement is provided to the students at St. Joseph's College.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4.5

  • The Infrastructure of St.Joseph's dates back to 1880's for it is one of the oldest colleges in Bangalore. It has two blocks one for science section and another for arts section.A new upcoming block is for commerce section also. The best part of the college is the quadrangle which is under the shade of the banyan tree which is 135 years old!!

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • (Eligibility criteria) Any student who has a minimum aggregate of 65% and above are eligible for St. Joseph's College.
  • There was no entrance exam in my case for it is a B.Sc. The interview I had was with staff and the head of the institution.if you can qualify to the criteria only then you will be allowed to meet the principle.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • It is an autonomous institution and so the syllabus can be too deep or too shallow. We had a combination. Most of the topics will be covered for you but it is students' responsibility to study the rest.Very experienced faculty are available from UGC aided and management aided category. They are approachable always and very friendly.
  • The quality and method of teaching are quite fine, all students understand the topic very easily at St. Joseph's College.

Fees and Scholarships

4.5

  • The course fee was not more than 30,000 per year when I joined. Now I think there is a hike by 2000.
  • The Scholarships are granted based on the merit and minority status.Roman Catholics have the first preference when it is a minority scholarship at St. Joseph's College.

Clubs and Associations

5

  • St. Joseph's College provides you with more than 30 clubs and associations which include NCC, NSS, CSA, WAAC etc and are awarded credits for the work of the individual in the association at the end of every year.Since it is a credit based system, each combination has to complete certain credits in their extra-curricular,co-curricular and association activities.
