A 356 acre lush green campus is just like a mini city with basic amenities like Church, Temple, Masjid, Hospital, School, Sports Facilities etc. IIT Roorkee has one of the cleanest campuses among all the IIT’s. 10 Boys hostels and 3 Girls hostels is testimonial to the large student base on the campus. The classrooms are quite above average, with most of them air conditioned. Labs are well maintained,LAN and wifi connectivity ensures facilities quite up to the mark. SPORTS FACILITIES Amongst all the IITs, IIT Roorkee has the best sports facilities with well experienced coaches that coach and mentor students to reach the highest of the levels. It includes Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis, Volley Ball, Taekwondo, Squash, Badminton and Swimming. There is a separate section called students club which has TT, Pool, Snooker, Carrom, Foosball and a 50 seater Hall for screening of live football and Cricket Matches. A well maintained GYM with professional trainers for both student and Faculty.

The students have access to MAHATMA GANDHI CENTRAL LIBRARY which is ASIA’s no.1 Library and also the department library which has all the books along with relevant research papers that are present online from major publishers like John Wiley Publications, Elsevier’s Science Direct and many othersEach subject has a fixed number of hours that is given to it. Usually the classes start at 8:00 and continue up to 6:00 PM. The Duration of classes is 2 hours each. Each faculty has its own teaching style wherein we have case studies Exclusively in one subject and presentations in others. It is a 4 semester course with 5 available specialisations Marketing, Finance, IT, HR and operations. The biggest advantage of taking up MBA in IIT Roorkee is that they offer dual specialisation wherein the student can opt for two streams like marketing and Finance with an option of related electives as well. The first is year is general and in the 2nd the students opt for the specialisation.

DoMS has a number of clubs starting from Finance, Marketing, HR, Analytics, Operations and Consulting. Also DoMS has a number of Committees like the Placement Committee, Industrial and Academia Relationship Cell, Sports Committee, Newsletter committee. All of them work in close coordination to organize guest lectures, Business Conclaves and other related Activities that keep high enthusiasm level in students.
