Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Entrance examinations were held for the admissions for Isabella Thoburn College. Intermediate pass outs were to be eligible for the exam. Minimum 50% in high school and intermediate was required. An entrance exam was held for the admissions in a centre. Following subjects were considered- Maths, reasoning, general awareness, English.
- 75% (name in the First cutout list) was necessary for Regular admissions. Though No regular seats were available for the Commerce department.
- Only Self-Finance was there.No loan facility available.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine Classes would begin from 8 am and can exceed up to 5 pm at Isabella Thoburn College. Lengthy intervals were usually given between each class. Project work, assignments were taken at short intervals. Three Trimesters were held in a year. Personality development was enhanced through different projects and a fixed meeting in Auditorium.
- Quality was average as I'm totally talking about the Commerce Faculty. Teachers were average enough and the Method is not too modernised.
- The overall experience in the College was good.
- Many important functions were held which were helpful in enhancing the personality.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee for the B. com was 2000/- per year at Isabella Thoburn College. An extra amount for the exam was also taken in the name of examination fee.
- Scholarship options were also available. Students whose family income was less than 2 lacs were allowed to go for scholarships. Apart from that Students with Reservations were also given the facility of scholarships. An average number of students cannot be described but an approx rate of 500 out of 3000 was provided with this facility.
- Don't have full knowledge about the loans but the College deals with the UCO Bank and any such things are provided by this bank only.
