The college Placement Cell works for internships and jobs for all departments including the Department of Journalism. The Cell notifies the students regarding any and all internships pertaining to their field. Apart from the Placement Cell, students often scout for internships on their own with various media houses, NGOs, government organizations and corporates. Placements- Companies like Star, India Today and Reuters come for campus placements and candidates are put through a rigorous screening process for the various job profiles. Journalism students are also eligible to sit for non-media related placement drives.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

The Department of Journalism at Lady Shri Ram College for Women is considered to be one of the best in the country. However, it is the overall academic and cultural environment of the college coupled with the fact that the college is situated in what can probably be called the media capital of India- New Delhi. At the academic level, there is a great of academic stimulation owing to the Annual Academic Meet of the Department along with the number of guest lectures and workshops- from media ethics to film-making. In this regard, the level of exposure to both academia and industry is quite high. Some famous journalists from the college include Nidhi Razdan and Anjali Bhardwaj.

Fees and Scholarships

5

The annual fee for the Journalism course at LSR is approximately 23,500. Though this is quite high compared to the other Delhi University courses, it is very low compared to the private universities. Financing via scholarships is available to students after receiving proof of income level.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

LSR has a vibrant culture of societies and clubs- both performing and non-performing. With a number of events being held almost everyday, it is almost difficult to keep track of them. From dance and dramatics to art and music to environment and entrepreneurship, the many societies open up a world of possibilities to explore. The annual cultural fest- Tarang, is one of Delhi Universities most sought after ones with inter-college competitions and exciting pro-nights.

Academics & Faculty : Hello, I am Neha from Lady Shri Ram College for Women. My college already has the reputation and goodwill for its academics and highly professional teachers. There is a different kind of environment in my college. It's a kind that makes you do something constructive and creative. Something that I really want to appreciate in my college is the cleanliness and greenery. Our class rooms are properly ventilated and clean. The time table is hectic and the professors continue teaching even after the bell has gone. The most depressing part are exams. All in all college is fun with friends who help us get out of the the boring lectures, project, assignments and exams.
