Placements and Internships
- VIT University has a strong alumni network.
- Placements vary from stream to stream and go up to a double-digit CTC.
- You have a lot of big names coming in one can refer to their placement report for further details.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- You have good hostels with strict regulations in VIT University. People may be fed up with the strictness but it is necessary to maintain the standards at which the college operates.
- You have Wi-Fi access in most parts of the campus, which is huge by the way. The costs are set by the choice of rooms so they are variable, along with whatever amenities you avail.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Eligibility criteria: like all engineering entrance exams this too has an academic cutoff of 60% with no backlogs. Once you qualify the entrance exam, you'll be called to choose your stream based on your rank.
- Entrance exam: VITEEE.
- When I enrolled mechanical was the most sought after stream after ECE. In general to get any stream of your choice you need rank within 5000.
Academics and Faculty
- You have good teachers in VIT University. The international exposure you get is unparalleled. It is impossible to follow up with everything that's going on in the college.
- The daily routine schedule for each student is set by the student post 1st semester. So it varies on the number and type of subjects the student has taken up. You have a lot of extracurricular activities to choose from, ranging from college to international platforms.
Fees and Scholarships
- If you make it to the merit list then the course fee won't be high at VIT University. However, if your rank is on the higher (above 10k) side then it's a totally different thing.
- You'll probably need a loan.
Clubs and Associations
- The overall college life is great at VIT University.
- You have more than adequate access to clubs and societies, from all domains. The two major events are Gravitas (tech fest) and Riviera (cult fest). Since there are about 180 (were when I was there) clubs and societies it's not possible to name them here. To mention a few- Toastmasters, MAD, and ISOI.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : If u want admission then u need to go for VITEEE , it is the official exam held for admission in vit campuses. Ur rank decides the availability of the campus and the stream at the time of counselling. Ur rank also decides the date at which your counselling will be held. There is no specific range of rank under which admission is possible. There are categories of admission in which fees of admission increases as the category you are taking admission in increases.
