Placements and Internships

5

  • When you’ve worked so hard for the 4 years and learned technology, every single student deserves a good job in the industry. IIIT-H doesn’t fail to impress even here.
  • The jobs at IIIT-H are exceptional and being situated in the IT district adds up as an advantage. Most placements are product based and Undergrad-Postgrad-and MS placements are common and conducted together.
  • Students tell us that about 100 companies registered last year, and recorded over 100% placements last year. Which means everyone got at least one job. Facebook and Google also recruited some students from IIIT.
  • Placements can be considered at par with IITs and the minimum package was Rs 6 lakh. But here the concept of mass recruiting isn’t seen, as most companies come with specific requirements and hire about 4-5 students. Facebook offered jobs in the US last year.

Academics and Faculty

4

  • Absolutely top notch talent and highly experience faculties from various IITs and IISCs impart their knowledge to students here.
  • The main focus of the institute is primarily on research which the faculties conduct and involve the students in their work too.
  • All the faculties are highly qualified in their field, and what most students told stupid side was that they never spoon feed the students because every semester students are assigned projects for which the faculty only ‘guides’ them.
  • Yet some of the newer faculty hasn’t been able to impress the students. All the professors are approachable and are available all throughout the day on the campus.
  • Apart from learning from the professors, IT Giants from the industry visit the campus regularly for project and paper presentation, so that implies more practical exposure to students.
