Placements and Internships
- The students that passed out from this college had ended up in becoming successful lecturers.
- Their salaries vary from 1-3 lakhs.
- Many others became film actors (eg: Mammooty), writers (eg: O.N.V.Kurup), politicians etc were the Alumni of Maharajas College.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are two hostels in the college- men's and women's.The hostel fee per year is Rs 6000.
- As I am a day scholar, I do not have much knowledge about the hostel facilities.
- The Classrooms are a bit poorly furnished but the labs and libraries are very rich with highly sophisticated types of equipment and books respectively. Each department of the college has a Wi-Fi connection.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The admission was purely based on the 12th marks. It was very difficult to get admission in this college as there were no management seats nor NRI quota.
- There were no typical cutoffs in
Maharajas College, The students got admission according to their marks till the seats got full.
Academics and Faculty
- The classes start at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm.There will be 2-semester exams,2 internal exams and 2 assignments per year.
- The teachers in Maharajas College teach very well.They are very understanding too.
- There is a prize money of Rs2000 for the top scorer of the year.
- It is the most wonderful college of Kerala.
Fees and Scholarships
- It is the best college for the education of not so well off students.
- The fees that I pay per year for Maharajas College is Rs 2400.95% of the students get at least one type of scholarship.
- The Loans are provided by the college itself for the students who have difficulties in paying the fee and can be achieved easily.
Clubs and Associations
- There are lots of clubs in Maharajas College - material and manas Vini for women, clubs for transgenders, gays, and lesbians, etc.There is politics of SFI hovering over the college.
- The major festivals of the college are college day, ka Lotsa am,union day, fresher's day, film festival, etc.
