Placements and Internships
- The Companies that come for Campus Placements are Infosys, HCL, IBM, Wipro Infotech, Tech Mahindra, NOKIA, MICROSOFT, ADOBE etc.
- 3.5 - 5.7 Lakhs packages on average, the Highest package recorded by a fresher was 15 lakh/annum in 2016.
- Around 70-85% gets placed every year.
- The alumni network is strong. Frequent or usual interaction is there to help and support us for our courses and our careers.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 4 campus hostels and 2 hostels outside the college campus, There are two types of hostel Indian hostel and NRI hostels where the NRI is slightly costly but better . In Indian hostel 4 students per room whereas in NRI only 2 students per room with attached bathroom. I have to say the NRI hostel looks like a Hotel. The regular Indian hostel is 70k per year while the NRI is 1.1 lakh per year.
- The College food is eatable, not good not bad but bearable. They charge 30k for the Indian mess and 45k for NRI mess. Although it is an unlimited buffet and special meals are given 3-4 times a week.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The candidates should have taken Physics and Maths as compulsory subject along with chemistry/biology/biotechnology.
- For my admission in DSCE Bangalore, the criteria were 60% in maths, physics, chemistry was the minimum requirement.
- I appeared for JEE MAINS and JEE Advanced in 2016. Some certain ranks in Comed-K and CET exams.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily classes are 9 am to 5 pm for 3 times a week and the rest are either half day or 5 hours a day. Saturday is a half day till 1 pm. Projects and assignments are compulsory for the exams so they are given 2-3 times on a regular semister. There is 2 internals in which you have to pass on average to be eligible for semister end examination.
- The faculty is good but not great. Students from north india or northeast india will not suffer that much as they teach mostly in english medium only.
- The overall experience of DSCE Bangalore is great and full of other activities too.
Fees and Scholarships
- The Fees structure differ, around 1.8 lakh per year for Comed-K students, and 2.4 lakh for management students, and 70000 for CET students.
- The Scholarships are only for Sc/St students Not sure of the people who scholarship.
- Not sure if loans are available in DSCE Bangalore.
Clubs and Associations
- The Student societies are not there I guess. Either I have not encountered or heard of them. But the student clubs are the best things of the college. Dance, Art, Music, Drama, Fashion etc are all there and have respective clubs with studios.
- They cocurricular activities & events are the best thing you can find here. I should say top 5 in India. The main engineering fest is Furore which is quite big. Ethnic day, sports day, technical fest are often there and quite a handful.
- The college atmosphere in DSCE Bangalore is really great, tons of trees and a large campus. People are friendly no ragging seniors are chilled.
