Placements and Internships

4.5

  • went for an Internship at Basket Options Stock market institute Bangalore. The stipend was Rs6000.
  • A host of companies hire from Jain and is considered to be one of the best placements drive that happens in Bangalore which is commerce based.
  • We have finance companies like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. We get companies like Deloitte for a finance role as well.
  • In the field of banking, we have organizations like  Axis bank.
  • There are a lot of digital marketing companies also like Zomato who hire.
  • The total average salary last year was around Rs 315000
  • The alumni network is marvelous, we have alumni come in and have seminars almost on weekly basis arranged in the college
  • We do get a lot of start-up companies every year. Last year almost 20 start up companies had registered.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

  • There are quite a number of Jain hostels maintained by the college around the campus and everything is taken care by the organization in terms of food and also there is Wifi in every hostel. The fee I think is around a lakh per year.
  • Jain is in the heart of the city and it doesn't require much help to find a good PG. A decent PG along with food should cost anywhere between 5 and 8k
  • The food and the cafeteria in college are really good and caters to everyone's tastes.
  • The infrastructure at college is top notch. The library is state of the art. There is Wifi connectivity in the whole campus but the signal is an issue.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Jain College Bangalore has got the status of a deemed university since 2009 and has been established as Jain Univerity.
  • Jain offers Bcom through 2 universities that are Jain University and also the Bangalore University.
  • The cut off for applications 3 years back when I joined was 80% for B.Com Bangalore university and85% if I am not wrong.
  • The entrance exams have been introduced since the coming academic year, but anyone with the cut off percentage and decent enough communication skills should make it.
  • The placements drive through both the universities are same.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • The class starts at around 9.00 am and there are a total of 4 classes every day and also seminars are held every alternate day regarding the necessary course work
  • The Faculty quality is unparalleled when compared to any other colleges in Bangalore as Jain hires the best.
  • The enriching experience in Jain gives a student the edge over other and just connecting with the peers in college helps a person grow and Jain is the Best college in Bangalore for undergraduate courses

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • The fee per year is around Rs 90000
  • There are not many scholarships available from Jain and this is a little shabby from such a huge organization
  • Loans depend on the financial capability of the people. But Jain fees are at least 30% higher than any other colleges in Bangalore.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

  • There are a lot of student unions and clubs at Jain.
  • Most notably- The commerce forum which has won a lot of accolades over the year at various inter-college fests. The cultural forum which groom all the musicians, actors etc.
  • The main fest for Bcom is Pulse it's an inter college fest which incorporates a lot of events from singing to dancing to mad-ads.
  • The campus life in college is amazing and if anyone's planning to study Bcom or any other commerce background undergraduate courses in Bangalore, Jain is the place to be.
