Sandhya Ekambaram's Review on Velammal Engineering College

I got internship from BSNL,tambaram and from ERICSSON.I got on-campus placement from WIPRO and ERICSSON.The average salary was around 3.25 lakhs.Each and every one was given with ID for alumini meet.   

Quality of faculties and classrooms was good and we had practical sessions for each theory classes.We had convestion and digital library,besides Internet facility around the clock.As my college campus located near to Central station and affordable with easy availability of buses and trains.   

Velammal Engineering College is one of the top reputed self financing college in Tamilnadu affiliated to Anna University,Chennai.Academic schedule and syllabus  was framed by Anna University and it was circulated to all the students.College classes start at 8.30 AM in the morning and ends with 4.30 in the evening in between 40 mins break for LUNCH.We had elective paper from 3rd year onwards and we were allowed to take elective subjects based on our interests.Unit test was conducted after every units completion and we had 2 cycle test and 1 model test for each subject/semester.We are supposed to submit the assignment after each unit completion.Had atleast 1 practical session for each subject based on the syllabus.   

My College is affiliated to Anna University ,Course fee ,food and accommodation fee was framed to Anna university prospectus.First generation,Minority,OBC,SC and ST scholarship was promoted by our college and it was all based on income of the parents.Around 70% of the students availed scholarships.

We had well built indoor stadium,football,cricket ground seperately.We were provided with coaches for each sports and also had facilities to get the physique fitness.Our college conducted sports events for inter-college competition.Sachin Tendulkar,Rahul Dravid and Sushil Kumar has visited our campus occasionally
