Placements and Internships
- For internships, ICFAI provides the student with two options
- 1. Self-generate
- 2. Assistance from College.
- There are a lot of reputable as well as startup companies that pick up students for internships. Most of them provide low or no stipend, but hey it is the work that matters in the internship and not the money (don't get greedy so early!). Some reputable companies that come for an internship are JPMC, HDFC, HSBC, Novartis, Capgemini, etc. They provide Stipend for those students with 2 or more years of experience.
- As far as placements go in ICFAI, this year has been a bit dodgy and placements have affected mid-tier B-schools majorly! (read Trump, Brexit, and Demonetization). But so far at least 85% students have been placed and the rest are also being grabbed up by companies as I type this review.
- Salary packages for Over 200 odd companies visited the campus with packages ranging from 4.5 lakhs to 52 lakhs for the annual ICFAI placements. Finance placements are good so are marketing.HR placements were seldom.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Infrastructure is good but not well maintained in ICFAI. The grass around the campus gets cut maybe twice a year. But overall there are 100 acres of lush green and facilities such as Library, Gym, Swimming Pool, Indoor stadium, Playing ground is available.The main building is fully air conditioned with screens and projectors at every class.
- The hostels in ICFAI are usually clean and maintained fairly with decent pricing.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The Primary Entrance Exam to get into ICFAI any of the IBS campuses is IBSAT, although the college accepts CAT, NMAT and XAT scores as well, but it is preferable to appear for IBSAT as the examination fee is included along with the application fee and is comparatively easier than the other entrance examinations.
- After IBSAT, admission process continues by which students get calls for the GD&PI process which happens only at the Hyderabad campus. No scores are declared for IBSAT. ICFAI also picks those Students if they hold any of the following:
- GD(Distinction Certificate)
- Past Awards
- Academic Excellence Certificate.
Academics and Faculty
- There are some top-notch faculty members and some really motivating and inspiring professors. Most of them hold doctoral degrees (from ICFAI itself!!). Some faculties are really unbearable at times. Besides Quality of Teaching, each and every faculty is approachable whenever you have any doubts in your mind or you want guidance.
- The Academics office in ICFAI is cooperative and helpful, to sum up.
Fees and Scholarships
- The Overall Course Fees is really, really high when you compare it with the type of services you get (mess food, academics, hostel).
- Currently the fees for a course in ICFAI is something north of 14.5 lacs but it is safe to assume that the actual money shelled out of your parent's pocket is 16 Lacs (including night outs and trips). Going by fees it is really high.
Clubs and Associations
- College life is the best in ICFAI! Lots of clubs, lots of fun and events go on all around the campus every day. You'll never feel bored while on campus. Friends will be your lifeline and everyone will have a gang of their own.

The entrance exam to be given for the entrance is CAT, IBSAT, NMAT. Since for IBSAT, the criterion is never revealed, you simply get a result informing you about the clearance of exam, followed by the location for group discussion and personal interview.
