Placements and Internships

  • The internships opportunities are very few at Watumull Institute of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology.
  • The CS people manage to get jobs but not internships. I applied through external sources and I managed to get 2 internships over a period of 6 months. I was paid a decent sum of Rs. 2,000 at 'Fasttrack Software' wherein I was just a summer intern and learned quite a few things.
  • The other place which I worked was 'Business Karma Solutions LLP' where I was paid a sum of Rs. 4,000 as a Junior Web Developer.
  • The companies which hire from Watumull include Infosys, Ingram Micro, ATOS, BNP Paribas India Solutions, Media.Net, Reliance Retail, Reliance Jio to name a few which offer jobs for various positions such as Software engineering trainee, Business developer etc. 
  • The average salary offered by the companies is Rs. 3.5 Lakh PA and highest being Rs. 5.5 Lakh PA.
  • Almost 90% of the Computer Engineering students get placed.
  • The students are also benefitted by the people who have already graduated from Watumull as many of them have established themselves in the market. 

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • There is no hostel facility or PGs available at Watumull Institute of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology.
  • The food in college is quite cheap and of decent quality.
  • Some people might complain about the quality, but according to the cost, it is pretty economical.
  • Classrooms are good, airy and the view from some of the classrooms is simply amazing as we can see the sea face.
  • Labs are of decent quality.
  • There is no dining hall and Wi-Fi facility available.
  • The labs are connected to the internet which is used for strictly academic purposes.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Watumull Institute of Electronics Engineering and Computer technology is located at one of the best and sophisticated areas of Mumbai.
  • This college is a part of the CAP rounds that take place after giving the MAH CET exam.
  • For giving this test, you must have taken Science course after 12th standard.
  • While the cut-offs will differ according to the course, a typical score of 100 out of 200 in the MAH CET should get you through for the Computer Engineering department.
  • The other courses offered by this institute are Electronics and Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Biomedical Engineering.

Academics and Faculty

  • Lecture timings are from 9 am to 3:45 pm at Watumull Institute of Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology.
  • Practicals are included within the college timings only.
  • Regular assignments, projects keep going throughout the semester.
  • There are two unit tests of 20 marks each.
  • One good thing about the teachers of Watumull is they are very easily approachable and very friendly. Their teaching might not be that great but all of them are always ready to help.
  • Overall experience is quite good.

Fees and Scholarships

  • The course fee at Watumull is Rs. 1,15,000 approximately which increases by 10% every year.
  • Not much scholarship options are available, but people belonging to backward class and minorities are given fee waivers.
  • Approximately 4-5 people out of a class of 80 get a scholarship.

  • There is a Robotics Society of Watumull, Student Council which manages and organizes all the technical and cultural events in college.
  • The main festival of this college is Ensemble which comprises of technical as well as cultural events.
  • There are annual day celebrations wherein students put their best foot forward and come up with various dance performances, drama etc.
  • Overall quality of life in Watumull is good.
