Placements and Internships
- I didn't do an internship and I didn't apply for stipends.
- Many MNCs visit BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology campus every year for campus drive like Bosch, HP, Benz, Quest Global, TAFE, Infosys, Accenture, East Engg, Continental, Toyota Kirloskar, Applied Materials, Walmart labs, Informatica, akamai, Microsoft, Shapoorji Pallonji, Total Environment Adani IOC, KPIT and still more.
- The Packages offered varies based on the company. The package offered so far is Rs. 14 Lakh PA by Walmart labs followed by Rs. 9Lakh PA to Rs. 3Lakh PA.
- Almost 80% of the batch is placed and rest prefer higher studies and other plans.
- Our college has a placement cell which helps students. The cell helps in knowing the upcoming companies and also helps in preparing by sharing the experience of our seniors during the campus drive of the respective company. The cell also acts as a link between us and our seniors. We can get any help regarding placements and higher studies from the cell. The cell also organizes expert talks by our alumnus working in companies to share their experience.
- Many times our alumni have arranged such talks regarding MS and higher studies to guide them choose best colleges. The whole credit goes to our placement cell.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology has got three hostels; ladies hostel, Junior boy's hostel, and senior boys hostel. All the hostels are in the college premises itself.
- Hostels are well maintained with free wifi for the students.
- A Separate lawn in the hostel premises is also maintained for relaxing purposes.
- Security is also maintained for 24*7 with CCTVs covering the corridors and hostel premises. A physician visits our hostel daily to provide free checkups to the hostel students.
- The hostel fee varies slightly every year.
- PGs available outside the campus are also good and economical but are not as secured as college hostel.
- The food provided in the hostel mess, as well as the canteen, is of good quality.
- The cost charged in canteen and mess is very less. But the quality is always maintained.
- The college infrastructure is also good. All the departments have their own buildings with well-equipped labs, classrooms with projectors, department library etc. The campus is very well maintained.
- Our college gives more importance to greenery. So the campus is very clean and free from plastics and papers.
- College library provides many books for the students. The college also has E-library. Students get a lot of help from the college in regards to studies.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria to join BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology are set by the Karnataka Pre-university education department. The criteria are changed every year.
- I preferred KCET exam to get admission in the college.
- The cut-offs may vary every year. I think during the time of my admission, the cut-off for 2B category was 10500 rank.
Academics and Faculty
- Class timings at BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology are designed in such a way that the student doesn't feel hectic attending the classes.
- Our college give equal importance to both, projects, as well as academics to help students gain technical as well as academic knowledge.
- Exams are conducted at the end of every semester with two internal assessments before the final examination.
- Assignments given are very helpful to gain extra knowledge apart from academics.
- our college has the best and highly experienced teaching faculty who help students in every aspect of studies.
- Since the institution is Autonomous, Syllabus is varied according to the industry requirement. The syllabus is designed in such a way that student does not feel hectic.
- My experience is very good in this college.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee varies slightly every year at BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology.
- College Fee is different for aided and unaided quota.
- Many scholarship options are available which are provided by NGO, Government etc. At least 40% of the total students are eligible for scholarships.
- Loans are needed for some students who are economically poor. There are banks, NGO who give student loans to students.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many clubs in BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology like BVB motorsports club, AeroKLE club, and startups by our alumni.
- Every department has an association with a staff coordinator and student secretary as a head of the association. The association helps in organizing events and technical talks.
- Every year the college hosts a National level Tech fest called the Pleiades. Many students from the surrounding engineering colleges take part in the fest to gain knowledge by attending workshops and participating the events conducted during the fest.
- Our college also gives importance to sports. Many times our college has organized interzonal and zonal matches for many sports.
- The life in college is awesome. We enjoy learning new things. The curriculum is designed in such a way that, we never felt burden studying and carrying out our projects. There is a lot of support from the college for new engineering ideas and innovations. There is a lot of encouragement given to startups by students.
