Placements and Internships
- I have not done any internship, but I have done training in Tata Steel Ltd and VI Microsystem Pvt Ltd. In both trainings, I didn't get any stipend.
- Many IT, Manufacturing and marketing companies come for SRM University campus recruitment every year and they conduct a preplacement talk about the company which includes company's introduction, its centers, job role, salary etc, after that, they conduct their placement process which includes online test, group discussion, technical and personal interview.
- The average salary per year is between Rs. 5-6 lakhs whereas highest salary per year is Rs. 14 lakhs and the percentages of a batch which get placed are approx 65-70%.
- Alumini network in our college is quite good because they visit our college time to time to interact with students and solve their issues if any.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 6 hostels at SRM University which include both AC and NON-AC.
- Hostels are good but their mess is not good, even paying mess charge they prefer to eat outside.
- Hostel fee is Rs. 95,000 including accommodation and mess charges.
- PG option is good, students can take room according to their choice whether a single or double person or they can opt flats for 5-6 members and their cost per month is approx Rs. 3,000 per month.
- Food in college is good but only south indian meals is only available and per meal cost Rs. 50.
- Classrooms are big enough with projectors and accomodate 60 students in a single classroom.
- Labs are also good with all new technology instruments and apparatus for lab performance, and for software labs, PCs are there to practice the programs for students.
- Libraries are the best thing which any student can like the most in the college, it having upto 4 floors in which each and every department/feild of books are their also computers are there to search book online and their location in the library.
- Wi-fi service is also there for students, each student has given a user id and password for enable wifi and it is acess upto 10 hours after once login and its speed is also good.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria to join SRM University is passing the 12th with PCM having minimum 70% marks.
- The admission procedure is to clear the entrance exam conducted by SRM University and attend the counseling process to get enroll in the course. I took SRMJEEE as an entrance exam to get admission in SRM.
- There are different cutoff for the different branch as I have to take ECE, so cutoff for ECE is to get a rank under 16,000.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine of a student in SRM is college starts by 8:50 am to 4:00 pm.
- There are 2 labs in each semester, so for each lab at the end students have submitted mini project in a group of 3.
- There are 2 cycle test, 1 model exam and 1-semester exam for each semester.
- About assignments, in some subjects, students have to submit assignment and in some subject they have to give surprise test.
- The quality and method of teaching are good by some teachers but not by all teachers.
- Overall experience in college is nice, we get a chance to interact with people with different regions, our juniors, and seniors.
- There are many tech fests, cultural fest and workshop conducted in college which help to improve technical and managerial skills of students.
Fees and Scholarships
- My course fee at SRM University is Rs. 1,85,000 per year.
- Many scholarship options are available to students like merit scholarship.
- 100% scholarship facility if they get under 100 rank in SRM-JEE, 50% scholarship for students getting 95 and above in intermediate, 25% scholarship if they belong to minor caste or parent's annual salary below Rs. 2 lakhs, 50% scholarship for sports quota if they reach any cluster, national or international level and 25% based on academic performance in college for top 10 % students from each branch.
- Approx 25% students get a scholarship every year.
- Yes, many students need a loan for fee payment. At the time of admission only those students who want loan, private bank are there provide loans at a certain interest, so taking loans from a bank is easy.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : SRMJEE needs to be cleared, for B.tech the cut-off varies from stream to stream. The minimum requirement is CBSE 12th board( above 70%)
Entrance Exams & Admissions : ° To get into the main campus of SRM University rank in SRMJEE should be within 50,000 ° I took JEE MAINS, MARINE EXAM, NDA EXAM and SRMJEE ° in my course cut off is 30,000
