Placements and Internships
- I have done few marketing internships for media companies, e-commerce sites, etc.
- Key Companies that come for placements at NIT Hamirpur are Samsung, Drishti Software, Practo, DirectI, United Health Group, L&T, TCS, Infosys, etc. Most software companies visit the campus.
- Average Salary is Rs. 6-7 lakhs pa and Highest package is Rs. 25 lakhs pa.
- 85-95℅ of students gets placed.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 10 hostels in NIT Hamirpur, 7 for boys and 3 for girls.
- Hostels are very good, neat and clean.
- Hostel fee is Rs. 32,000 per annum.
- Food in the hostel messes is also good and hygienic.
- Classrooms, Labs, Dining Hall, Wifi all are available.
- Infrastructures of college are excellent.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- To get admission into NIT Hamirpur, you have to clear the JEE MAIN exam in which you have to score decent marks to get a rank around 30k to be eligible for admission.
Academics and Faculty
- Class and Lab timings at NIT Hamirpur are from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM ( 1 hr lunch break).
- The method of teaching is great because of highly qualified teachers.
- Overall experience is great, one of the most beautiful campus in India with well-equipped laboratories, wi-fi campus, awesome hostels etc.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee at NIT Hamirpur is Rs. 90,000 per year.
- You can avail scholarship from Central Govt by getting a good CGPI above 7.5.
- The scholarship amount varies for different categories. You can avail state govt scholarships also.
- Almost all SC/ ST students get a scholarship. I am from OBC category and I got Rs. 75,000 scholarship from Bihar State Govt.
- You can avail education loan easily from the State Bank of India in the college.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many clubs and societies in NIT Hamirpur like Departmental Societies, Music Club, Dance Club, Hindi Club, English Club, Coding Clubs, Dramatics Club, Prayas, SPEC etc.
- The main festivals are nimbus, hill fair, udbhav, abhyuday, spec fest etc.
- The life in college is simply awesome.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : You have to clear JEE mains exam for admission in this college. Anyone with higher secondary in Non-Medical can apply for JEE Mains Exam. Typical cut-offs vary with the branch to branch. But it is average around 120 marks
