Placements and Internships

2.5

  • We can do an internship under any professor by contacting him/her personally at the University of Hyderabad.
  • But there will be no stipend given to the student from the university.
  • Some companies like Asian paints, pharmaceutical companies, and some private, educational institutions will come for hiring the students.
  • The averages salary will be Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.
  • The highest salary figure in placements is Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students that will get placed in these companies is around 15% as many of the students prefer to do Ph.D.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3.5

  • 14 boys hostels and 8 girls hostels are there in the whole university at the University of Hyderabad. Hostels are in nice conditions and sophisticated with electricity in every room and water facility.
  • Hostel fee per semester(4 months) is Rs. 500.
  • The quality of food gives little disappointment. It's not up to the mark.
  • I hope that quality of food should be improved.
  • The quality of classroom and labs are very nice. All the other resources like libraries and dining hall internet facility, sports complex are nice.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • To get into the University of Hyderabad I have written entrance exam conducted by the university of Hyderabad.
  • The eligibility criteria are to clear the entrance exam in science stream and passing the 12th with 60% of marks.
  • There were no cutoff marks for our course. As our university is a government funded university, it has selected the students by considering their performance in the entrance exam and caste and area from where they are.
  • The main aim of our course is to enhance the interest of students to proceed their future in a research field.

Academics and Faculty

4

  • Classes in the University of Hyderabad starts from morning 9 am and ends at 5 pm.
  • If the student is doing a project in any lab, a lab will be open until 10 pm.
  • Assignments were given by professors frequently and will be evaluated.
  • In each subject, there will be three internal assessment tests out of which best two are taken to grade with the final exam marks. Each internal exam will have 20 marks. So best two internal exams carry 40 marks and the left 60 marks will be for a final exam.
  • Quality and method of teaching are very good as all the professors have great knowledge with excellent teaching skills and very helpful towards the students.
  • The resources that we get are very good.
  • Overall experience in college is very nice and interesting. I am truly satisfied with my college.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

  • My course fee at University of Hyderabad per year is Rs. 5,200.
  • The scholarships that are available to the students are Telangana bc social welfare scholarship and Telangana sc/st social welfare scholarship and university fellowship.
  • In my course, around 50% of the students get anyone of this scholorship.
  • Loans are not needed to pay the fee of the course.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

  • There are student organizations present in the University of Hyderabad like ABVP, SFI NSUI, ASA etc.
  • There will be elections conducted every year to elect the student union which comprises president, vice president, general, joint and sports secretary. This body functions to solve the student problems and make a bridge between administration and student community.
  • Cultural events are conducted during the SUKOON. SUKOON is the three-day festival conducted by student union every year to refresh the student community and give them a great feeling in the university to do well in their academics.
  • There are sports events like cricket night cup and football and volleyball night cup conducted by the student union.
  • Life in university is very nice and satisfied and enjoyable.
